There was also a sharp edge sticking out from the molding. On 9/16/25, the facility reported that the middle finger of child # 1 was unintentionally pinched in the classroom door near the hinge as it was closed by staff person # 1. Requirement: Floors, walls, ceilings and other surfaces, including the facility's outdoor play space surfaces shall be kept clean, in good repair and free from visible hazards. Toys, play equipment and other indoor and outdoor equipment used by the children shall be clean, in good repair and free from rough edges, sharp corners, pinch and crush points, splinters and exposed bolts. Correction: In order to prevent any pinch points I have purchased baby proofing pinch guards for all of the doors where children are present. These will be installed on all doors in childcare space. During the in-person portion of the renewal inspection, on 9/10/25, there was no thermometer in the refrigerator located in the infant classroom area. Requirement: A facility shall have an operable, clean refrigerator used to store potentially hazardous foods. The refrigerator shall be capable of maintaining food at 45° F or below. An operating thermometer shall be placed in the refrigerator. Correction: A working thermometer was places in the baby room fridge. Inspection: Renewal. During the in-person portion of the renewal inspection, on 9/10/25, certification rep observed a pink storage bin of toys to be cracked at the top in the young toddler classroom and a cracked toy storage bin in the Pre K 2 classroom. Both cracked bins created pinch points. Certification rep observed climbing mats with torn edges in the young toddler classroom. The torn edges are not able to be properly sanitized. Requirement: Toys, play equipment and other indoor and outdoor equipment used by the children shall be clean, in good repair and free from rough edges, sharp corners, pinch and crush points, splinters and exposed bolts. During the in-person portion of the renewal inspection, on 9/10/25, certification rep observed glass doors used to exit onto the play area in the toddler class with no visual identifications. Requirement: A visual strip or other visual identification shall be placed on glass located in a traffic area, a child care space or a play space. During the file review portion of the renewal inspection, on 9/2/25, certification rep observed more than 12 months between fire safety trainings on file for staff # 1 and 2. This is evidenced by certificates dated 7/15/24 and 8/18/25 for staff # 1 and 5/15/24 and 8/17/25 for staff # 2. Requirement: Staff persons shall participate, at least annually, in fire safety training conducted by a fire protection professional. Staff persons and volunteers shall receive training in maintenance of smoke detectors, the duties of facility persons during a fire drill and during a fire and the use of the facility's fire extinguishers, not including discharge of the fire suppressant agent. This is evidenced by their Pediatric CPR/First Aid certificate dated 1/13/25. Requirement: Staff person(s) shall complete professional development in the topics of 3270.31(f)(1-10) within 90 days of hire. Correction: Staff #1 missed her first in person portion of the training as she was sick that day. The next CPR we could schedule was on 1/13 and she did attend this training.
