Fire inspections

Fire inspection has not been conducted within the last 2 years. The fire inspection was last conducted on 4/5/24. Visit: Periodic / Full. Plan to correct: Director contacted local fire marshal regarding past due inspection. The fire marshal stated he could complete the inspection on Monday, May 11th. Ratios

Licensing and Child Welfare observed school age bus to arrive at the center at 3:00pm and the school age children went outside to combine with the 3 year old and older classroom. Licensing counted the children outside and observed 1 staff outside with 20 children and 4 three year olds (3 yr old mixed ratio 15 children to 1 staff). Staff outside said the other teacher was here but did not know where she went. Licensing found the other teacher inside changing a child who had an accident. Visit: Complaint / Full. Plan to correct: Personnel in charge addressed the staff and told them if they need to change a diaper or change a child when playing outside they will bring their entire classroom back inside. She will remind staff to count their children to ensure ratios are maintained. The non-compliance was corrected during the visit. In the future, ratios will be maintained as required. Non-job related

Licensing and Child Welfare observed 1 year old classroom teacher on her cell phone in the bathroom with a crying child. Licensing observed the child being upset and crying and not being consoled. Visit: Complaint / Full. Plan to correct: Personnel in charge addressed the phone usage with 1 year old teaching staff. Personnel in charge told staff not to be on her cell except in case of an emergency. This was corrected at the time of the non-compliance. Plan to correct: In the future, the Director will remind the personnel not to use their cell phones and personnel are properly supervising as required. Plan to correct: Personnel in charge stated she will let the owner/director know they need to complete the food service training as soon as possible.
