Correction order — Rule(s) 75-03-09-08-1(i) - Ensure the group child care is sufficiently staffed at all times to meet the child and staff ratios for children in attendance and that no more children than the licensed capacity are served at any one time;
Evidence of violation: On 8/12/2025, an unnaounced visit was conducted by Licensing Specialist. It was noted that during my visit, the provider had a ratio of 1.52 with only one staff member present. I explained to provider that she MUST be at a 1.34 points or less with only one provider. I observed provider call a parent of child for them to be picked up so she can be in compliance with ratio guidelines. Method of correction: Provider needs to create a daily schedule of which children will be attending each day and calculate points to ensure compliance. Licensing specialist will be conducting more frequent unannounced visits to ensure compliance as this has been a previous violation of provider. Time allowed for correction: Immediate.
