The Program shall have clear, written policies for the documentation, administration, handling, and disposal of all medications, in accordance with EEC requirements., Parental Consent. The Program shall ensure that at least one adult with training in medication administration is present at any and all times when children are in care., Medication Disposal. Medications shall not be used beyond their date of expiration. Unused medication shall be returned to the Parent/guardian for disposal. If medication cannot be returned to the Parent/guardian, the Program shall have a written policy on medication disposal in accordance with the recommendations of the Department of Public Health, Drug Control Program.
