The outdoor space shall be fenced or shall have natural barriers to deter children from getting into unsafe areas *Workers observed the play area directly outside of the Head Start classroom is not fully enclosed by a fence or natural barriers. Until this area is enclosed, there shall be no outdoor play. * Please provide us with a plan as to how you will be addressing this deficiency. Correction: Worker verified that the play area outside of Head Start classroom is enclosed by plastic netting fence, which appears sturdy and adequate.

Workers observed that the food establishment permit for the Head Start classroom is expired. We understand you have called the Department of Health (DOH) to arrange an inspection. Once this is conducted, please send in current unexpired food inspection report and green pass placard. Please also provide Kapalama Elementary School cafeteria's food establishment permit if you are obtaining the meals from the school. Correction: Worker received current satisfactory food inspection report and green pass placard for both Kapalama Head Start and Kapalama Elementary cafeteria via email.
