HAR §17-892.1-3 — Child abuse/neglect check

Immediately, please submit DHS 948 Authorization For Background Checks To Release Findings form for these employees who have expired clearances: XXXXX Please submit a DHS 948 for XXXXX as their clearance will expire in under sixty (60) days. Correction: All staff have 948s turned in as of 11/5/25

HAR §17-892.1-17 — All caregivers meet qualifications

Please submit health and safety training certificates to People Attentive to Children (PATCH) for XXXXX as their health and safety training period has expired. Please also submit health and safety training certificates to People Attentive to Children (PATCH) for XXXXX as their training periods will expire soon. We are reminding you that all caregiving staff need at least 16 hours of department approved training on an ANNUAL basis in at least two topic areas and substitutes need at least 10 hours of training. If they do not complete this requirement by 01/31/26 we may exclude these staff members and they will not be able to count towards the staff-child ratio until they do, which may affect your license to operate a Group Child Care (GCC) program. Correction: Worker confirmed that all staff have current satisfactory health and safety training.

HAR §17-892.1-26 — Annual nutrition review

Please submit all menus to XXXXX at Hawaii Child Care Nutrition Program for an annual menu review, and send us the results when you receive them. Correction: Worker received satisfactory menu review from XXXXX via email on 12/2/25.
