It remained out of compliance as dead roaches were still observed in pieces of tape adhering a poster to the wall. The tape was replaced during inspection thereby bringing this area into compliance. 3.1(A), Handbook: All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Areas of the facility were found to be in need of cleaning. Facility/Storage [SR] Comments: Complaint alleges that a child had a skin infection, bumps and bite due to begbug bites received at the school. INVESTIGATION: A complaint investigation was conducted on 7/11/2025 and a statement from the school lead teacher and the child's assigned teacher was received. The lead teacher stated that on Tuesday the parent brought the marks to the school's attention. She said that she checked the classroom for bugs and didn't see any Per the assigned teacher, she noticed the marks on Thursday because the child was off on Wednesday. The child has since returned and is here today. There are no other children with bites on their bodies. A walkthrough was done during today's inspection and there are no signs of bedbugs in the classroom. The child has a blister like mark on the palm of his hand. He has red marks and blister like marks on his face, stomach, legs and near other areas. FINDINGS: This complaint is unsubstantiated for bedbug infestation. Although no bedbugs were observed, live and dead roaches and an egg shell were observed in the classroom. TA was provided that continuous classroom checks for infestations must be conducted and areas treated when infestations are observed.
