    3.1(A), Handbook: All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. An area(s) of the facility was observed to not be in good repair. Facility/Storage [SR] Comments: The following was found in need of repair; - repair chipped paint throughout facility - remove loose gate latches with missing gate in the 2y/o room - remove items in two empty classroom being used as storage and set up the room as a classroom. If room will be kept as a storage room, provider was advised that it may be removed from the licensed capacity - repair loose basketball hoop with chipped paint, rusty screws, and broken plastic plate - declutter counters, shelf tops throughout the facility - repair missing cabinet door in kitchen Sub-section 10-5 Animal Immunization TA: During inspection, a pet bunny was observed in the 2y/o room. Per the director, the vet informed her that the bunny does not need vaccination. After further research, it was determined that there is vaccination available for bunnies. Per our rule, Animals must be properly vaccinated (if a vaccination is available for the specific animal), free from disease, and clean. The Bunny's nails appeared to be very long so provider was given TA to cut the bunny's nails. Source: FL DCF CARES inspection 2024-11-06.
