3.8.4(C), Handbook: A current attendance record and parent contact information must accompany child care personnel out of the building during a drill or actual evacuation, and be used to account for all children. Child care personnel failed to possess a current attendance record and parent contact information during a fire drill, emergency preparedness drill or an actual emergency. (Section 2.1(A) Health and Safety, Page 3) License/Certificates [SR] Comments: During todays drill, a staff member failed to possess a current attendance record. This item was corrected at the time of the inspection. A drill was conducted in the presence of the assigned Child Care Licensing Specialist. Provider used the primary route and took 1 minute and 19 seconds to evacuate the premises. Compliance Comments Certificate of insurance is valid until 3/10/26. 4.1, Handbook: Child care personnel including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month must successfully complete the departments training within 12 months from the date training begins. Training completion may not exceed 15 months from the date of employment in the child care industry in any licensed Florida child care facility. The facility did not have documentation of child care personnel's completion of required training on the training transcript in that [See comments]. Sec. 7-35(j), Ordinance: Exits from a child care facility shall open onto safe, protected, fenced areas, or shall have active audible alert mechanisms to alert child care staff when such doors are opened. A limited exception for the front door will apply provided a child care staff member is present in the immediate vicinity of the front door at all times when the child care facility is open and caring for one or more children.
