4.1, Handbook: Child care personnel including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month must successfully complete the departments training within 12 months from the date training begins. Training completion may not exceed 15 months from the date of employment in the child care industry in any licensed Florida child care facility. The facility did not have documentation of child care personnel's completion of required training on the training transcript in that [see below]. 4.2.7(B), Handbook: Documentation of the in-service training requirement must be recorded on CF-FSP Form 5268, Child Care In- Service Training Record and included in the child care facilitys personnel records. A new in-service training record is required each fiscal year. The in-service training records for the previous two fiscal years must also be maintained at the child care facility for review by the licensing authority. Documentation of in-service training was not recorded on CF-FSP Form 5268, Child Care In-service Training Record. Comments: All staff files checked for compliance and the following non-compliance was observed; Staff in-service logs were not complete or all certificates not on file. TA was provided that all in-service hours and logs must be on file for licensing to confirm that a minimum of 10 in- service hours were done throughout the year. 3.10.2(E), Handbook: When children in diapers are in care, there must be a diaper changing area with an impermeable surface that is cleaned and sanitized or disinfected after each use. Diaper changing occurred on a surface that was not impermeable. 3.10.2(B), Handbook: Hands must be washed and dried thoroughly after each diapering or toileting procedure, and all surfaces that have been touched must be cleaned and sanitized or disinfected to prevent the spread of germs. Staff did not wash hands after diapering/toileting a child. Comments: During the inspection the infant class was observed returning from outdoor waterplay. Staff was observed changing the infants out of the wet outfits and it was observed that the diaper of the next to last child was changed. Staff was wearing gloves to change the infant but the gloves were not changed after the procedure was complete nor was handwashing observed. Source: FL DCF CARES inspection 2025-07-07. 7.1, Handbook: The child care facility is responsible for obtaining for each child in care a current, complete and properly executed Florida Certification of Immunization form Part A-1, B, or C, DH 680, which is incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001(7)(o), F.A.C., or the Religious Exemption from Immunization form, DH 681, which is incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001(7)(p), F.A.C., from the custodial parent or legal guardian. The Florida Certificate of immunization was expired for children in care. 3.8.2 (A), Handbook: Unless statutorily exempted, all child care facilities must conform to state standards adopted by the State Fire Marshal, Chapter 69A-36, F.A.C., Uniform Standards for Life Safety and Fire Prevention in Child Care Facilities. A copy of the current and approved annual fire inspection report completed by a certified fire inspector must be on file with the licensing authority. The facility has not been inspected and approved by the local fire department as required. Comments: At the time of this inspection there was no proof of a current approved fire inspection having been conducted by the fire department this year.
