4.1, Handbook: Child care personnel including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month must successfully complete the departments training within 12 months from the date training begins. Training completion may not exceed 15 months from the date of employment in the child care industry in any licensed Florida child care facility. The facility did not have documentation of child care personnel's completion of required training on the training transcript in that [see below]. Comments: During the onsite inspection visit the facility did not have documentation of childcare personnels completion of required training on the training transcript in that the staff member did not complete require training withing the start date. Child care personnel, who were in compliance with preservice training requirements when they left a School Readiness provider, did not complete new mandated training within 90 days of employment with a School Readiness provider. (Section 3 Training Requirements, Pages 7-8) Staff Requirements [SR] Comments: Two staff members did not complete required preservice training withing the 90 days of employment; see supplemental notes for more information. Technical assistance provided: it is the responsibility of the program director that all staff members are incompliance with all DCF required trainings within the time frame. Terminating the staff member will not avoid a non-compliance to be issue. 04.
