Licensing Specialist observed that the backsplash on the handwashing sink had water damage and was not in good repair. Licensing Specialist observed peeling paint on the ceilings and walls in the bathroom of the After Schoolers classroom. The window on the door in the bathroom which leads outside was cracked. Licensing Specialist observed a large gap under the outdoor bathrooms and the particle boards (ceiling) above the bathrooms had water damage. Licensing Specialist observed peeling paint, several broken panels and a nail protruding from the wooden tree house in the VPK play area. Licensing Specialist observed a 6-inch gap in the gate between the two buildings where the water hose is located. Licensing Specialist observed an electrical cord protruding out of the ground by the swings on the after schoolers playground. Two stakes (small poles) were protruding from the corner where the swings are located. Licensing Specialist observed nails protruding out of the 3rd post under the shaded area of the after schoolers playground. The kick panel of the post was broken and rusted. Licensing Specialist observed a hole in the wall in the two-year-old bathroom. All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children. Documentation of the indoor play area inspection must be maintained for 12 months. 13.
