CCF Handbook Section 4.2.1 (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Comments: Licensing Specialist reviewing the child care personnel file encountered that Not all child care personnel complete the 40 hour Introductory Child Care Training requirement. Extended timeframe given to complete the training due to lack of testing availability. T.A. Child care personnel must successfully complete 40 hours of child care training as evidenced by successful completion of competency examinations offered by the Department or its designated representative with a weighted score of 70 or better. Supervision of children in the [Infant] group was inadequate in that [two babies were in the other part of the classroom alone in the dark.]. CCF Handbook, Section 2.4 General Requirements [SR] Comments: 2.4 Supervision B. Child care personnel must be assigned to provide direct supervision to a specific group of children and be with that group of children at all times. The licensing specialist observed two infants in the dark alone in another part of the classroom, where the teacher was sitting in the opposite classroom on the floor feeding three other children with her back to the other babies in the other room.
