CCF Handbook, Section 3.1, A (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Physical Environment [SR] Comments: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed in the gym both of the basketball hoop game the backboard is broken and the basketball game on the left the netting on the side is ripped. In room 200 the tan wall in the circle time area the paint is peeling. In room 550 the sink in the left bathroom is leaking. All the sinks on the right side of the building, the bathroom sink in the gym and room 250 the sinks has a buildup of hard white and greyish substance. In room 300 the wall by the back door to the right the paint is peeling. In all of the vehicles the seats have duct tape on them. The director was given until March 4, 2026, to come into compliance with this standard. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook Section 3.1 A.- General Health and Safety Requirements. A. All child care facilities must be clean, in good repair, free from health and safety hazards and from evidence of, or presence of, vermin infestation. Indoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety and documented on a daily inspection log. Outdoor play areas must be inspected daily for basic health and safety. Any problems must be corrected before the play area is used by children. Documentation of the indoor play area inspection must be maintained for 12 months. 13. The facilitys outdoor play area contained litter, nails, glass or other hazards that posed a low potential for harm to children. CCF Handbook, Section 3.5, A (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Physical Environment [SR] Comments: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed on the 1 and 2 year-old playground the jungle gym and the shade covering over the jungle gym has a white and black substance on it.On the school age playground there is rust on all the picnic tables. On the blue picnic table when you first walk out the covering to the seat is peeling off. There is rust on the sprinklers in the splash pad area. All the poles in the splash pad area the paint is peeling off. The far basketball hoop the one closer to the road the bottom of the pole is rusting and the paint is peeling off. The dinosaur jungle gym there is paint peeling and a black and yellow substance on it. The pole above the steering wheel is separated from each other. The steering wheel the board is separating from the plastic behind it and has made a gap big enough for the licensing specialist to hit their hand behind it. The tree by the swing is sticking far enough down to be in the children face. The screens in the school age window is ripped.On the 3 year-old playground the jungle gym has a black substance on it.On the 4 year-old playground the jungle gym has a black substance on it.The director was given until March 4, 2026, to come into compliance with this standard. CCF Handbook, Section 3.1, A Physical Environment [SR] Comments: During the previous inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed in the following room paint peeling Room 400 the wall by the door that leads 450, Room 350 the wall above the discovery shelf and the side, Room 300 the wall by the phone, under the fire alarm and above the soap dispenser the left wall, Room 150 the wall by room 200 and the School Age room the wall by the basketball hoops. The licensing specialist observed the contact paper that is on the shelves was peeling in the following rooms: Room 150, Room 250 and the School Age Room the shelf that is black and the ice hockey. The licensing specialist observed tiny holes in the bathroom walls in the following Rooms: Room 350, Room 300, and the school Age Room. The licensing specialist observed in the bathroom in the 200 room that the toilet paper holder was rusted and had a sharp edge. The licensing specialist observed the duct tape that is on the seats in the buses is peeling up. During the reinspection, Licensing Specialist observed that the provider painted where the paint was peeling, removed the shelves that had the peeling contact paper, removed the toilet paper holder that had rust and a sharp edge, and repaired the seats on the buses. During the reinspection, Licensing Specialist observed the tiny holes in the bathroom walls in the following Rooms: Room 350, and the school Age Room have not been repaired. The director was given until April 14, 2025, to come into compliance with this standard. The facility did not have documentation to show child care personnel had begun the introductory training within 90 days of employment in the child care industry. CCF Handbook, Section 4.1 (Section 2.1 Health and Safety, Page 3) Comments: During the time of inspection, the Director advised the Licensing Specialist that there 33 employees. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored 33 of the 33 employee records. REMINDER: In-service training for 2024/2025 fiscal year must be completed before July 1, 2025. Licensing specialist reviewed 10 hours of annual in-service, completed, for all child care personnel for the 2023/2024 fiscal year. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed 1 personnel that did not start her 40 DCF hours within the first 90 days in the industry. The director brought this standard back in compliance at the time of inspection by having the personnel start her classes. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook Section 4.1 Beginning Training Childcare personnel including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month must begin training within 90 days of employment in the childcare industry and successfully complete Departments training within 12 months from the date training begins. Training taken prior to employment in the childcare industry does not constitute begin training. The begin training timeframes begin at the time of employment in the childcare industry. Training completion may not exceed 15 months from the date of employment in the childcare industry in any licensed Florida childcare facility. This may be accomplished by classroom attendance in a department-approved training course, acquiring an educational exemption from a department-approved training course, beginning a department-approved online childcare training course, or by receiving results from a department-approved competency examination.
