An infant was observed being fed with a propped bottle. CCF Handbook, Section 2.4.4, C Comments: The licensing counselor observed an infant being fed a bottle while lying down in a bouncer. The counselor informed the teacher that the child should be held during feeding since she was unable to hold the bottle herself. DCF Handbook, Section 2.4.4, C There must not be any propped bottles. If a child cannot hold the bottle, childcare personnel must hold the bottle during feeding. There must be no automatic feeding devices unless prescribed by a doctor and documentation is available in the childs file.
