8P — License Renewal

Ensure a renewal application is completed at least 60 days before the license expiration.

42P — Administration of Medication

Ensure a Medication Administration Record (MAR) is on file for medication administration. Ensure that a trained staff member who has received a valid administration of medication certificate from OCCL is present at all times to provide both scheduled and emergency medications to children in care.

13P — General Requirements

A licensee shall ensure that, before a person becomes a household member, within five days, the person is fingerprinted by the Delaware State police for a Delaware SBI and FBI check.

6P — License Requirements

Ensure the child care license is posted.

48P — Pets

Animals six months and older must be vaccinated for rabies. A family member came to visit, and the pet did not have proof of vaccination for the provider. The provider's own pet is not current with a rabies vaccination.

45P — Emergency Planning

An exit sign or emergency exit diagram must be posted.

22P — Children's Files

Ensure child files are complete. Three children need current health appraisals, three need updated immunization records, and three need blood lead screening test results on file.

15P — Use of a Substitute

Ensure the non-emergency substitute completes the CPR and first aid with hands-on demonstration. Update emergency numbers and names and post the updated document.

13P — General Requirements

A licensee shall ensure that the Office of Child Care Licensing is notified of a new household member within five days. Within 30 days of becoming a household member, a licensee must provide documentation of a health appraisal conducted within the past year, including TB results.
