746.3407(12) - Mark Cleaning Supplies, Toxic Materials; Keep Separate from Food and Inaccessible to Children

There was a bottle of disinfectant wipes sitting on a bookshelf within reach of the older children in the toddler classroom. This was corrected during the inspection when the caregiver moved the wipes to a shelf out of reach.

746.1205(a)(4) - Supervision ensures each child?s safety, well-being, including physical proximity and auditory or visual awareness of each child?s on going activity

One caregiver stepped out of their classroom to open the front door, and another caregiver stepped out of their classroom to receive a child and take the child to the pre-k class. This was corrected during the inspection when the caregivers returned to their classrooms.

746.4003(b) - First Aid Kit - Supplies Not Expired

There was a tube of antibiotic ointment in the first aid kit that expired in 2023. This was corrected during the inspection when the ointment was thrown away.

746.4135(b) - Children's Products- Annual Certification

The children's product recall verification form was last signed in January 2024. This was corrected during the inspection when the director signed a new form verifying that she has reviewed the recall list.

746.201(1) - Policies Comply with Rules

The parent handbook was missing several of the required policies and procedures.

746.303(b) - Report Number of Employees

A review of the Employees Who Left Employment in 2024 data revealed the center did not report the number of employees who left employment in 2024 by January 15, 2025, as required.
