The manufacturer's instruction for the use of the box fan near or by an open window be securely placed to ensure that the box fan will not fall off the platform or window. According to the child care workers, a box fan was placed on the wall shelf/counter next to the window on many past occasions. On 10-14-2024, the wind came through the window and caused the fan to fall off the window shelf/counter and injured a child.
