During the licensing visit, maximum group size was exceeded in the Sapphire Room for approximately 6 minutes. Rule states when children under the age of 18 months old are part of a mixed-age group, the size of the group may not exceed 8. From 7:58am-8:02am, there were 10 children in care in the Sapphire Room. From 8:02am-8:04am, there were 11 children in care in the Sapphire Room. Contrary to rule, pack n' plays that are used by children were placed against each other in a "L" shape in the corner of the Sapphire Room. Rule states that cribs or playpens may be placed end-to-end if a solid partition separates the crib or playpen and an aisle not less than 2 feet in width is maintained between sleeping surfaces to maintain proper supervision and safety measures. Per rule, a child under one year of age may not sleep in a crib or playpen that contains soft or loose materials. No blankets or other items may be hung on the sides of the crib or playpen.
