LC found that children's allergy documentation and procedures for responding to allergic reactions were outdated. Staff were unable to confirm current allergy information or medication requirements. Although allergy lists were posted, educators were unsure whether the information was updated. Additionally, allergy‑related medication was stored in a locked, easily accessible container, but required documentation was not present. — Visit: Technical Assistance,QRIS Monitoring visit — Action taken: The Director communicated with the family, and the child's mother provided a current EpiPen with accurate labeling and an up‑to‑date action plan. The medication is now properly stored and accessible within the center. All employees will receive corrective training on the proper use of the EpiPen. The medication log has been updated to ensure accuracy during emergency evacuation procedures, and all staff will complete the corresponding emergency training. Additionally, the center's "Receiving Medication" policy will be updated to reflect these requirements.
