The educator and both directors were given guidance on best practices for children needing to use the restroom while only one educator is in ratio on the playground. LC informed educators and director that best practices would be to either take the entire class inside when this occurs, or for an extra(float) staff member to take the child to the restroom inside then return the child to their class.

Children and staff members must also wash their hands upon their return to the classroom from outdoors.

Name-to-Face roll call was not being conducted prior to leaving the playground and upon arrival in classroom. Technical Assistance has been provided at previous visits that Name-to-Face must be conducted during each transition. — Visit: QRIS Monitoring visit,Technical Assistance — Action taken: The agency corrected the violation with the following action(s): LC Hagan discussed with the educator of the School-Age Class, as well as both directors, that children shall never be unattended. If the class is on the playground with only one educator, and a child needs to go inside to use the restroom, the entire class must go inside together. Another option offered to the agency is that if there is a float staff member or director available, they may take the child indoors to use the restroom then return the child to their class.
