When PS, LC and Field Supervisor walked into the center one teacher was present. Teacher had a mixed age group of children (age range 10 months - 4 years). Infants must be seperate from older kids. Ratio was 1:11 — Visit: QRIS Monitoring visit — Action taken: The Little People's Preschool will ensure that if a staff member is running behind schedule, we will make accommodations to have a substitute step in place to help stay in ratio. We will hire an additional substitute or our Director will make sure to step in to help stay within ratio.

PS observed educator had a 9 month old child in the classroom with 5 other children ages 2 and half one half to five years old. Educator was the only one at site. — Visit: QRIS Monitoring visit — Action taken: 9 month old has been transferred to our other site with a classroom for their age group. Agency will not accept any children in that age group until a second educator is able to be hired.

PS observed educator left six children unsupervised while preparing meals in the kitchen. — Visit: QRIS Monitoring visit — Action taken: Since the educator has to go into the kitchen to prepare meals, a table was placed into the kitchen where students will sit and eat for breakfast, lunch and PM snack. The agency will have students eat all meals in the kitchen until ratio is met and the agency is able to afford a second educator on site.
