During an unannounced complaint investigation visit on November 15, 2024, LC Fox observed a purse on a small shelf in the Pre-K classroom. The purse was accessible to the children. During an unannounced visit on November 15, 2024; LC Fain and Fox observed a bottle of Walgreens brand Pain Reliever on an open shelf in the Infant Two classroom. The medication was inaccessible to children, but not locked in a secure container as required. The director removed the medication immediately from the classroom. The medication was then secured in the office. — Visit: Technical Assistance,Complaint Investigation — Action taken: The agency will have all staff review and sign a statement stating they understand that medication left in the classroom is a safety risk for all children. They will also have all staff check diaper bags each morning when the parents arrive with their children. Medications will be secured in a child-proof container or compartment.
