Educators were observed on the playground with their attention on their cellphones, preventing active supervision of the children. — Visit: Complaint Investigation,Technical Assistance — Action taken: LC Corbin spoke with Director about use of cellphones in classrooms. Director stated that they put a policy in place (effective 11/10/2025) that cellphones are no longer allowed in classrooms. Educators can leave their cellphones in their vehicle, or in their personal storage cubby located in the main office. LC suggested to Director that random observations on Educators on the playground should be conducted to ensure they are actively engaged with the children, and that appropriate supervision is taking place.

Center educators were unable to complete all annual trainings required. — Visit: QRIS Monitoring visit,Technical Assistance — Action taken: LC discussed with Director various training requirements, showed her in the licensing rules where she can find the training requirements breakdown, and provided her with a CCR&R resource for keeping track of trainings needed, how often they are required, and the training names. Director is going to use these resources to better maintain staff trainings and to ensure all staff meet training requirements in the future.
