During a complaint investigation it was discovered that a child was given something containing eggs and it was stated on the allergy list that this was something the child could not have, this was not an allergy with lifesaving medication. — Visit: Complaint Investigation,Technical Assistance — Action taken: The item containing egg was put on the child's plate but she did not eat it and we removed the plate from her and gave her a new plate. The agency plans to retrain all staff on making sure they check all food items prior to making plates with our allergy list. Also, have the cook speak to the teachers when food is taken out to rooms to ensure they understand who can have what.
