LC arrived early in the morning at 7:45 AM and there was a mixed group of children of 15 children ages 2-5 together. Two teachers were present but the max is 10. — Visit: Complaint Investigation,Follow-up visit — Action taken: LC spoke with Asst. Director and Directo to let them know they have two split into two groups in the morning for breaksfast when they hit 10 children becasue that is the max. LC also issued a violation.

LC observed a classroom with one teacher in a class of 7 toddlers ages 15mos- 30 mos. Ratio for this age group is 1:6. The classroom normally has two teachers and this day a teacher called out sick. The second educator had been in the room but stepped out for a minute to take milk to the upstairs fridge. She stated she meant to take a child with her. — Visit: Follow-up visit,Technical Assistance — Action taken: The second teacher returned to the room putting the class back in ratio. Due to being out of ratio, LC did issue and violation.

LC Ratliff and LC Champion checked the new employee file during the visit and no trainings could be verified. There were no certificates printed and new employee could not get into TNPAL to show verification of training. LC also searched TNPAL and the new employee was not listed under the center. The new employee was in a classroom with children unsupervised prior to having training verified. — Visit: QRIS Monitoring visit,Technical Assistance — Action taken: LC spoke with Assistant Director about not being able to verify training for new employee that left the room for supervision violation. A violation was also given for lack of proof of training.
