In addition, the educatorwill remain under supervision until additional support training has been conducted.

A three year old child was able to walk behind an educator helping children in the restroom and enter an empty, unsupervised classroom. — Visit: Technical Assistance,Incident or Injury Investigation — Action taken: All staff will also be trained on a new protocol for children who are known to elope. Under this protocol, if a child leaves one teacher's supervision area and enters another teacher's area, the first teacher will immediately call out to notify the second teacher that the child is with her. The second teacher will acknowledge verbally that she has the child in her care. This process ensures clear communication and continuous supervision at all times.
