Educators have been given a training deadline for completion of the required trainings. Licensing Consultant will be monitoring the progress and assisting as needed to ensure all training are completed as required.

During an unannounced visit to investigate a complaint on August 25, 2025 a violation was cited in 1240-04-01-.15 Program Language and Literacy Development. Licensing Consultant (LC Fox) observed a 16 month child watching a cartoon on a tablet. The child was watching the cartoon and was being supervised by two educators. — Visit: Technical Assistance,Complaint Investigation — Action taken: The agency removed the tablet immediately and reviewed the the media policy with all educators.

The child care portal has not been updated to reflect the current operating hours. The current operating hours in the portal are recorded as 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The current operating hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It is the responsibility of the owner/director to ensure all programming information is current in the Child Care Portal. There was an educator who was alone with children in the Toddler Classroom who did not have documentation of completing the orientation or required pre-service trainings. There was no file on site for review. — Visit: QRIS Monitoring visit,Technical Assistance — Action taken: Agency will be sure that the educators will have the required documentation, completed orientation & pre-service trainings needed in order to be in a classroom. The new hire process and requirements were reviewed with management. The review included the process of background cleatance transfers and time limits on background transfer eligibility.

An educator was working in the toddler room who did not have the required Prevention of Shaken Baby and Abusive Head Trauma before being alone with children. In addition, the educator did not have not the required orienation or pre-service trainings prior to being alone with children. — Visit: QRIS Monitoring visit,Technical Assistance — Action taken: The agency immediately made an fingerprinting appointment for the educator, and the educator did not return to the agency until the fingerprints were cleared. In addition, the agency and LC Fox reviewed the policy for fngerprinting if an educator had not worked in child care in 180 days and requires reprints.
