The educator was able to get all training requirements completed while LC was on site. — Visit: Complaint Investigation,Follow-up visit — Action taken: The Director will require new staff to provide certificates as proof that they have completed the required training before they begin employment. They will also be required to have their TNPAL account set up prior to employment.

1240-04-01-.09 Incident Reporting
An incident occurred while the children were playing on the playground; one child picked up and threw an empty coffee can at another child. The coffee can is used as an exploration tool for children to fill and empty with mulch while playing. The child who was hit by the coffee can suffered a scratch on his head. The center did not provide an incident report to the parents in this case. — Visit: Complaint Investigation — Action taken: The Director will ensure that all staff are reminded that all incidents and accidents must be reported to management, documented for the child's file, and parents must sign the documentation the same day. Serious injuries must also be reported to the Department.
