Educator walked her children back to the classroom after a restroom break and did not conduct a name to face recognition roll call. — Visit: QRIS Monitoring visit,Technical Assistance — Action taken: LC discussed with Director the importance of performing "name to face" recognition any time a class transitions from one area to another. Director will discuss "name to face" recognition importance with staff and Director will model the procedure to ensure educators understand what is expected.

LC observed an educator cross the doorway threshold, leaving her classroom unsupervised to ask to the Director to come to her classroom. — Visit: QRIS Monitoring visit,Technical Assistance — Action taken: LC discussed this violation with the Director and explained that, by crossing the threshold into the hallway to ask a question, the educator left a portion of her room unsupervised. Director understands the importance of educators remaining in the classroom so that they can see and hear every child at all times. Director will review the importance of continuous supervision of children with their educators and will discuss alternative ways to communicate with office staff if they are needed.
