On 3/6/26 hot water at sinks used by children in the classrooms and child bathroom measured between 115 F and 120 F. Requirement: Hot water temperature, in areas accessible to children, may not exceed 110° F. Correction: The hot water heater was adjusted and all sinks accessible to children were monitored to ensure the hot water is under 110 F . Inspection: Renewal. Above ground window opening restricted to 6" (3270.72(d))

During the renewal inspection on 3/6/26 several windows in the second-floor classroom did not have the safety tab engaged to limit the opening to 6 inches or fewer. Requirement: Windows or doors above the ground floor that open directly to the outdoors and are accessible to children shall be constructed, modified or adapted to limit the opening to 6 or fewer inches. Correction: the windows on the second floor of our facility will be maintained in order to comply with Pennsylvania safety requirements for licensed childcare facilities. To ensure the safety of all children, the second-floor windows will be secured with window guards and/or window stops that prevent the windows from opening more than four inches. This limitation helps prevent the risk of children climbing through or falling out of the window while still allowing proper ventilation. All window guards will be permanently installed and regularly inspected to confirm that they remain secure and in good condition. Staff members will also routinely check the windows to ensure that the safety devices have not been tampered with or loosened. In addition, furniture and climbing objects will be positioned away from the windows to prevent children from gaining access to them. Staff supervision will always be maintained in rooms where children are present to ensure the windows remain safe and compliant with regulations. These precautions are in place to follow Pennsylvania child care licensing requirements and to maintain a safe environment for the children in our care. Inspection: Renewal. During the renewal on 3/19/25 the operator did not have a parent letter explaining the emergency procedures. Requirement: The operator shall provide to the parent of each enrolled child a letter explaining the emergency procedures. The operator shall also provide to the parent of each enrolled child a letter explaining any subsequent update to the plan. During the renewal inspection on 3/19/25 medication without the original container or prescription label was observed at the facility for child #1. Requirement: A prescription or nonprescription medication may be accepted only in an original container. The medication shall remain in the container in which it was received. A staff person shall administer a prescription medication only if written instructions are provided from the individual who prescribed the medicine. Instructions for administration contained on a prescription label are acceptable. Correction: The operator will reach out to the parent to ensure the medication is still required for the child. During the renewal inspection on 3/19/25 the operator did not have verification of a drill in the emergency plan for the past year on file. Requirement: Emergency drills shall be conducted annually. Annual emergency drills shall be documented and on file at the facility. Correction: A drill in the emergency plan will be conducted.
