Continued non-compliance. On January 8, 2026, a renewal inspection was conducted at the facility. A review of staff files was conducted and staff person #1 had only completed 4.5 hours of annual training during the period January 1, 2025 to January 1, 2026. An acceptable plan of correction was received stating that by1/15/26, staff person #1 would complete the 7.5 hours of missed training from 2025. As of 2/23/26 those hours have not been completed. Requirement: A staff person shall obtain an annual minimum of 12 clock hours of child care training. Correction: The staff has started his trainings, the training will be done in approximately one week because it is a 18 hours training self paced and by zoom meetings Inspection: Unannounced Monitoring. System in compliance/Operator or designated staff responsibility (3290.95(a)/3290.95(b))

On January 8, 2026, a renewal inspection was conducted at the facility. The facility's fire drill and detection log was viewed at that time and found that the operator was testing the fire detection system on the 1st day of each month. Requirement: Fire detection devices or systems must be in compliance with standards established under section 1016(c) of the act (62 P.S. § 1016(c)). The operator or designated staff person who is responsible for compliance with this chapter shall ensure the requirements in subsection (a) are met. Family childcare homes shall manually test the smoke alarms at least once every thirty days and maintain a written record of testing with the facility's fire drill logs. There was a can of Comet cleaner under the sink in the bathroom which was accessible to the children. Requirement: Cleaning materials and other toxic materials shall be stored in an original labeled container or in a container that specifies the content. Toxics shall be kept in a locked area or in an area inaccessible to children, and shall be stored away from food, food preparation areas and child care spaces. Staff Person #1 and Staff Person #2 have volunteer PA Child Abuse History clearances. Requirement: The operator shall comply with the CPSL and with Chapter 3490 (relating to protective services). Facility Person #1 and #2 may not work in a child care position at the facility until PA Child Abuse History clearances for employment are obtained. Correction: Both staff were removed from childcare and child abuse forms were completed and sent to department for a new FBI clearance and form This will be sent promptly as soon as I receive the new one.
