Requirement: A group supervisor shall have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field. Correction: Richland Academy has acquired this teacher's degree and transcripts, understanding that they do not qualify as a GS. Richland Academy has changed them to an AGS and received the necessary documents to prove hours worked with children. Inspection: Renewal. At the time of the inspection, the closet door located within the restroom used by children in care was unlocked and cleaning products were observed on the floor if the closet. Requirement: Cleaning materials and other toxic materials shall be kept in an area or container that is locked or made inaccessible to children. Observed at 1:10 p.m., during naptime in the toddler room, child #1 located in the far end of the dining space and staff #1 sitting on the opposite far end of the space. There were wooden shelving units, tables, and chairs occupying the space between child #1 and staff #1. Therefore, staff #1 could not effectively supervise child #1. Requirement: Children on the facility premises and on facility excursions off the premises shall be supervised by a staff person at all times. Outdoor play space used by the facility is considered part of the facility premises. Children must be supervised at all times.
