The changing table was observed to have a bath towel on top of the plastic area and used with all children, not being sanitized between diaper changes, causing human secretions contaminating the service. Requirement: Trash that has been contaminated by human secretions or excrement shall be contained in closed, plastic-lined receptacles. Correction: I have removed the towel on the changing table and will make sure to sanitize the changing table after each diaper change. Inspection: Renewal. General Health and Safety (3290.18)

It was observed in the bathroom that the toilet bolts were exposed. In the playroom, it was observed a nail sticking out of the frame of the door next to the climbing toy. Requirement: Conditions at the facility may not pose a threat to the health or safety of the children. Correction: I have covered the bolts on the toilet and they are no longer a safety threat to the children. I removed the nail next to the door and it no longer poses a safety threat to the children. In the facility bathroom, several toxics were observed to be accessible to the children in the medicine cabinet and the sink cupboard that were not locked. Requirement: Cleaning materials and other toxic materials shall be stored in an original labeled container or in a container that specifies the content. Toxics shall be kept in a locked area or in an area inaccessible to children, and shall be stored away from food, food preparation areas and child care spaces. Correction: I have installed locks on both the medicine cabinet and the cupboard under the sink. These will be locked during daycare hours. Inspection: Renewal. It was observed a tube of diaper cream that did not identify the name of the child for whom the medication is intended. Requirement: The label of a medication container shall identify the name of the medication and the name of the child for whom the medication is intended. Medication shall be administered to only the child whose name appears on the container. Correction: I will label all diaper creams located in the daycare space; including creams that are for my grandchildren. Inspection: Renewal. The facility fire drill log showed that the facility did not conduct fire drills every 60 days. This is evidenced by the last fire drill documentation of 9/18/2024. Requirement: The operator or designated staff person who is responsible for compliance with this chapter shall conduct fire drills and ensure that the hypothetical locations of the fire are rotated around the facility for each drill such that the hypothetical location is never the same for consecutive drills. The facility fire drill log showed that the facility has not been regularly testing the facility's fire detection system every 30 days since 11/1/2024. The operator or designated staff person who is responsible for compliance with this chapter shall ensure the requirements in § 3290.95(a) are met.
