Refrigerator (3270.107)

The refrigerator in the upstairs classroom measured at approximately 52 degrees. Requirement: A facility shall have an operable, clean refrigerator used to store potentially hazardous foods. The refrigerator shall be capable of maintaining food at 45° F or below. An operating thermometer shall be placed in the refrigerator. Correction: The refrigerator was turned down to maintain 45° F. In the rear building, there was a loose cabinet door under the sink. There was a loose screw and the hinge detached from the fixture. When door was opened, it was not durable. Requirement: Furniture must be durable, safe, easily cleaned and appropriate for the child's size, age and special needs. Correction: Cabinet door was tightened. Inspection: Renewal. In the 2nd floor preschool classroom there was one window that was to the left of the entrance and it was able to open more than six inches. Requirement: Windows or doors above the ground floor that open directly to the outdoors and are accessible to children shall be constructed, modified or adapted to limit the opening to 6 or fewer inches. In the upstairs bathroom, there was air freshener accessible to the children. Requirement: Cleaning materials and other toxic materials shall be stored in an original labeled container or in a container that specifies the content. Toxics shall be stored away from food, food preparation areas and child care spaces. Correction: Air freshener was removed from the bathroom area. Inspection: Renewal. Staff 1 has not completed mandated reporter training within the last 60 months. This is evidenced by the previously documented mandated reporter training on file being dated 8/13/2020. Staff person 1 will complete mandated reporter training. Until such time as the required training has been completed, staff person 1 must be supervised when interacting with children, by an AGS or higher who has completed the required training related to this citation.
