Fire safety - 1 yr. (3270.31(e)(4)(ii))
A renewal inspection occurred at the facility. A review of staff files was conducted. Regulation requires staff to participate in annual fire safety training. The following staff did not participate in annual fire safety training: Staff #3 (previous 6/27/23, current 7/10/24), Staff #4 (previous 6/29/23, current 7/19/24), Staff #5 (previous 7/5/23, current 8/26/24) and Staff #6 (previous 5/25/23, current 6/18/24). Requirement: Staff persons shall participate, at least annually, in firesafety training conducted by a fire protection professional. Staff persons and volunteers shall receive training in maintenance of smoke detectors, the duties of facility persons during a fire drill and during a fire and the use of the facility's fire extinguishers, not including discharge of the fire suppressant agent. Correction: Moving forwarded all staff will all have to complete the fire safety in the same month. This will alleviate any staff member not completing the training within the year. Inspection: Renewal. Source: PA DHS COMPASS provider search (compass.dhs.pa.gov).

Comply with CPSL/CPSL information (3270.32(a)/3270.192(4))
A renewal inspection occurred at the facility. A review of staff files was conducted. See the code sheet for the date of hire. Staff #1 was hired using a volunteer child abuse clearance dated 8/2/23. The CPSL states a volunteer clearance cannot be used for employment in child care. Staff #1 was working in child care at the time of this inspection. Requirement: The operator shall comply with the CPSL and with Chapter 3490 (relating to protective services). A facility person's record shall include a copy of requests for the criminal history record and child abuse registry clearance information, a copy of the disclosure statement and a copy of the completed clearance information required under the CPSL. Facility Person #1 may not work in a child care position at the facility. Correction: Staff was suspended until the correct Child Abuse was provided. Inspection: Renewal.
