Staff person #1 was caring for two children during the inspection. Upon arrival child #1 was observed in the living room with non-family adults. Staff person #1 was preparing a meal while the other child sat at the kitchen table. Throughout the day, staff person #1 moved back and forth from the rooms without having the children present in the same space. A child was observed in the kitchen strapped in a high chair while a diaper was being changed in the toy room. Requirement: Each staff person shall be assigned the responsibility for supervision of specific children. The staff person shall know the names and whereabouts of the children in his assigned group. The staff person shall be physically present with the children in his group on the facility premises and on facility excursions off the facility premises. The requirement for supervision on and off the facility premises includes compliance with the staff:child ratio requirements in §§ 3280.51--3280.53.
