    General Health and Safety (3290.18)

The facility emergency plan lacked continuity of operations. Requirement: Conditions at the facility may not pose a threat to the health or safety of the children. Correction: The following Plan has been added and implemented into Little Learners Family Childcare Homes Emergency Plan. Continuity of Operations Plan If Little Learners Family Childcare Home would have to immediately shut down due to circumstances that are out of our control the following steps would be taken. My state licensing representative would be notified of the incident. My Insurance Company would be notified and a claim will be started. Parents will be notified of the incident. At the time of the incident if there is a facility that can be utilized to accommodate the business and the licensing representative inspects it and it passes for the emergency time then we will proceed to be open there. If a facility is not available then the business will reopen as soon as the necessary repairs are made and inspected by my licensing representative. Parents contact information is stored in my cell phone for immediate communications and child files are backed up electronically. All seasonal staff would be notified of the incident. Any payments that may be due to them at that time would be paid. Parents will continue to pay for their positions regardless of whether the business is open or closed as stated in their agreement. This allows all necessary bills to be paid at that time. Inspection: Renewal. Source: PA DHS COMPASS provider search (compass.dhs.pa.gov).

    Comply with CPSL/CPSL information (3290.32(a)/3290.192(3))

The disclosure statement in the file for Staff #1 lacked a witness signature. Requirement: The operator shall comply with the CPSL and with Chapter 3490 (relating to protective services). A facility person's record shall include a copy of requests for the criminal history record and child abuse registry clearance information, a copy of the disclosure statement and a copy of the completed clearance information required under the CPSL. Correction: I signed and dated the Disclosure Statement with a witness present. The witness also signed his part and dated it as well. I sent a copy of the signed Disclosure Statement to my Certification Representative via email. Inspection: Renewal. Source: PA DHS COMPASS provider search (compass.dhs.pa.gov).
