In the upstairs preschool rooms is baseboard heating with metal mesh covers accessible to children. When the mesh cover was quickly touched in Preschool room 3 it was extremely hot to touch and left a red mark on the certification representative's finger. Preschool 1 room's metal heater covers temperature was 297 degrees F and Preschool 2 room's metal cover was 289 degrees F. Requirement: Hot water pipes and other sources of heat exceeding 110° F that are accessible to children shall be equipped with protective guards or shall be insulated to prevent direct contact.
