The facility was observed to have a purple spray bottle that contained a liquid but lacked a label that specified the contents. Requirement: Cleaning materials and other toxic materials shall be stored in an original labeled container or in a container that specifies the content. Toxics shall be stored away from food, food preparation areas and child care spaces. Correction: The purple spray bottle contained water. It was removed from the locked cabinet that it was in and discarded while the certification representative was still on site. Inspection: Renewal. Special notes (3270.133(7)(viii))

The facility was observed to have medication logs for children #1 and #2 that did not specify if any the special instructions for administration of the medication. Requirement: A medication log shall include special notes related to problems of administration. Staff assigned to specific children (3270.113(a)(1))

After interviews with staff, it was determined that supervision was not met by Staff #1 not being able to identify Child#1 from Child#3 for whom a medication was to be administered. Requirement: Each staff person shall be assigned the responsibility for supervision of specific children. The staff person shall know the names and whereabouts of the children in his assigned group. The staff person shall be physically present with the children in his group on the facility premises and on facility excursions off the facility premises. Correction: Staff member #1 was disciplined according to our ¿Discipline and Discharge¿ policy. The ¿Administration of Medication¿ procedure was reviewed with staff member #1 on three separate occasions, July 3, 2024, August 26, 2024, and November 7, 2024. She completed the training ¿Medication Procedures in Child Care¿ via the PA Key on September 9, 2024.
