Outdoor play safety

Plan to correct: Provider will do playground checks and make sure the fence is stable when taking the children outside to play. Provider will contact Owner to repair the fence. Heating equipment

Licensing observed portable heater being used in room where children were in care. Visit: Periodic / Full. Plan to correct: This was fixed when Provider unplugged and put up the portable heater while Licensing was onsite. Primary caregiver

Licensing observed the primary caregiver was not onsite as she was at other employment. Visit: Periodic / Full. Plan to correct: Assistant Caregiver will speak with owner to see about changing the primary caregiver to someone who works at the program at least 80% of operating hours a week. If Primary Caregiver no longer is able to work 80% of operating hours, Owner will remove the primary caregiver from that position and another employee who is able to work 80% of operating hours will take their place. Assistant and substitute caregivers

Licensing observed the only employee onsite without a current CPR/1st Aid certificate. Visit: Periodic / Full. Plan to correct: Employee will complete an approved CPR/1st Aid course if employee cannot obtain their current CPR/1st Aid certificate. Required individuals

Licensing observed one employee without a background submitted. Visit: Periodic / Full. Plan to correct: Owner submitted a background check for employee during the visit. Safe-sleep training

Licensing observed one employing caring for infants, without a safe sleep certificate. Visit: Periodic / Full. Plan to correct: Employee started working to complete a safe sleep course when the assistant caregiver arrived to relieve her. Place to rest

Licensing observed an infant sleeping on a bean bag. Visit: Periodic / Full. Plan to correct: Assistant Caregiver removed the infant from the bean bag and placed the infant in the crib on their back. Crib, port-a-crib, and playpen safety features

Licensing observed an infant who was sleeping, laying on a blanket and covered with a blanket. Visit: Periodic / Full. Plan to correct: Assistant Caregiver removed the blanket and infant off blankets.
