    Supervision - Primary caregiver did not provide adequate supervision, and was not near enough to intervene, which resulted in serious biting incident. Complaint finding: Substantiated (complaint #18797). Plan to correct: We will ensure to keep all children in the same area during transitions and free play, unless there is another employee in another area. We will ensure that caregiver to child ratios will be properly maintained throughout the day. We have rearranged furniture and materials to create clear line of sight across our playrooms, to eliminate blind spots where children can be out of view. Staff will always be positioned to observe and intervene quickly. We have partnered with parents to understand and manage biting or hitting behavior development. Primary caregiver is going to update her substitute to hired personnel to ensure there are 2 caregivers present at all times. Primary caregiver stated if she or her staff have to leave, she will ensure a child is picked up prior to leaving to ensure ratio is maintained at all times.
