Method of correction: The program must maintain staff to child ratios at all times; don't enroll more kids than you can staff for. Ensure all classroom teachers are aware of how to count ratio points and the times they need to use numbers versus ratios. Use the "How Many Kids" handout to help accurately calculate ratios in each classroom, shifting kids if necessary if needed. Create an agenda for the next staff meeting, that engages program staff in a discussion on how to accurately calculate staff ratios to ensure everyone in the building knows how to determine numbers and staffing. Provide the agenda to the licensing specialist. Fiscal sanction if not corrected: $25.00 per day. Time allowed for correction: Immediate.
