Evidence of violation: 7 infants and two teachers in the classroom when one teacher stepped out to get coffee. The teacher who was watching the three older children had to attend to the younger children and this is when the three children were able to get into the bleach. Method of correction: Program staff must ensure ratio is met at all times to ensure the safety of all children in the group. Discuss with staff appropriate times to step out of the room, and when they need to find another teacher to cover them. Time allowed for correction: Immediate.
