Correction order — Rule(s) 75-03-09-18(8) - The provider shall ensure that potential hazards, such as noncovered electrical outlets, guns, household cleaning chemicals, uninsulated wires, medicines, and poisonous plants are not accessible to children.

Evidence of violation: During the renewal visit it was noted there were chemicals within reach of children and on the kitchen counter there was a pill box and a prescription bottle within reach of children. There was also a knife on the kitchen counter within reach of the children. Method of correction: All chemicals will need to be placed out of reach or in a locked cabinet. Any medications whether in a prescription bottle or a pill box will need to be placed out of reach of children at all times. Fiscal sanction if not corrected: $15 per day.
