    Correction order — Rule(s) 75-03-10-12(3) - Ensure safe care for children under supervision. Supervision means a staff member responsible for caring for or teaching children being within sight or hearing range of an infant, toddler, or preschooler at all

    Evidence of violation: A three-year-old child was left outside and was not within sight or hearing range of staff members who were capable of intervening to protect the child s health or safety for 16 minutes. Method of correction: The staff member shall register for Supervision Training. In addition, the center may want to review their current tracking system. The system shall help identify which children are present in the classroom and which children are not. This system shall be portable so it can accompany the classroom whenever the group leaves the room. It would be beneficial for the system to be used consistently throughout the center.
