The materials and equipment indoors and outdoors were not sufficient to provide a variety of play experiences to promote the children's emotional and social development, health and physical development, approaches to play and learning, language and communication development, and cognitive development. Outdoors - There were bins with no toys in them; I observed three balls on the school age playground. I observed a bin with three toys in it on the preschool playground. Indoors - In the four classrooms operating, some materials for center/free choice activities were not sufficient. Some of the toys were dirty and/or old. Crayons broken, markers dried out, paper supply limited, games missing pieces, baby dolls with no clothes, toys that need batteries but have no batteries, and limited amount of blocks.
