Educator could not find children's records during the visit. Educator says they are completed for all 4 children and will let licensor know when she finds them. Corrective action: I had the records for the children who had been enrolled, I asked the Licensor if she wanted to see them, she said no. I had been working on the private children's records, they were complete, I couldn't remember where I put them, I do have them.. 7.04(04)(a)(01), 7.04(04)(a)(02) — Administration

There is documentation of attendance but the attendance was not current during time of visit. Corrective action: emergency card for the children were on site. But as licensor [redacted] stated the rest of the children's records were not on premises. My [redacted]/ Assistant [redacted] took it on that morning to organize and label the children’s records. Again I deeply apologize for not having those important documents on the premises. Attendance will be updated daily going forward.. No evidence of fire drills occurring or documented. 7.08(06) — Family Involvement

Educator could not show parent handbook. Per [redacted], she was organizing and has all paperwork. Corrective action: Parent handbook was returned to the premise on the same day. We were able to upload on the lead portal. I was having hard time sending to our Licensor [redacted] via email 12-13-24.. Regulation: Written Information for Parents. 7.11(07) — Health and Safety

No evidence of evacuation drills. [redacted] stated she took all paper work to help her [redacted] get organized for renewal. Corrective action: Our evacuation drills/ smoke detector logs were always kept on site at all times. so it would be available for inspection, fire officers, EEC officials. I also emailed the evacuation / smoke detector logs to our Licensor [redacted] via email 12-13-24. We do deeply apologize for the files being away from the premises during. 7.07(10) — Physical Facility - Indoors

Educator had prescription pill bottles that are easily accessible to children, located in licensed bedroom space. There was evidence of incense burning with ashes in bowl on the floor. Corrective action: Prescription pill bottles were removed from the licensed room instantly. There was no incenses burning at the time of care. Incense Ashes were from the Previous night after the children were released from care and the incense Ashes were also removed from the licensed room. Children did not have access to the licensed room. During unexpected visit as they were sleeping in a separate room.. Regulation: Indoor Space. The indoor space must be clean, safely maintained, well-ventilated and well-lit, of sufficient size for the children served, and must encourage play and learning. 7.09(04) — Staff and Educators

Annual Registration in Professional Qualifications Registry has expired on 7/7/2024. Corrective action: Annual Registration in professional Qualification expire 12/13/25. I sent to Licensor [redacted] via email on 12-13-24.. Regulation: All educators must register annually with the Department of Early Education and Care in accordance with EEC policies and procedures. 7.09(15)(f) — Staff and Educators

Educator was not able to show evidence of professional development hours. Licensor spoke with Educator's assistant [redacted] over the phone during visit for translation. [redacted] explained that she has all the paper work and documents for her [redacted] daycare because she was trying to get everything organized for her. Corrective action: all the documents were given back in a neat and structured manner, with each document placed its proper category and order, making it easy to find and access specific information.
