During the visit the Staff Records and staff records checklist was unavailable for review. Corrective action: I will ensure that the Staff Records and the Staff Records Checklist are organized and accessible at all times. The documents will be updated, placed in the required binder, and kept in the designated office area so they are available for review during any visit or inspection.. Emergency phone numbers were not posted. Corrective action: I will post the updated Emergency Phone Numbers in a clear and visible location in the classroom. The list will be printed, laminated, and placed near the door. I will also verify that all classrooms have the emergency numbers posted and add this item to the safety checklist to ensure ongoing compliance.. 7.11(02)(c), 7.11(02)(e) — Health

During a review of two medications, it was noted that one child's script was expired, the medication consent form was not signed by guardian and one medication has an expired IHCP and no guardian signature. Corrective action: I will contact the child’s guardian immediately to obtain updated medication scripts, signed consent forms, and an updated IHCP. The expired documents will be removed from the classroom and replaced only after receiving the correct and current paperwork. I will also review all medication files to ensure that all documentation is complete, up-to-date, and in compliance with EEC regulations.. Regulation: All prescription medications must be in the containers in which they were originally dispensed and with their original labels affixed. Over-the-counter medications must be in the original manufacturer’s packaging., Unless otherwise specified in a child’s individual health care plan, the educator must store all medications out of the reach of children and under proper conditions for sanitation, preservation, security and safety during the time the children are in care and during the transportation of children.
