A radiator in the play room needs to be made inaccessible to the children. This radiator currently poses a hazard to the childcare children. The educator will ensure that this radiator is covered appropriately at all times. Corrective action: I move some furniture to make the radiator not accessible for children until the new radiator cover arrives. The measurements were taken and I am just waiting for it to be delivered.. Regulation: Outdoor Space. The licensee must maintain, or have access to, an outdoor play area of at least 75 square feet per child who is outside at any one time., Indoor Space. One of the doors did not have the exit sign posted, the educator will ensure to always maintain the exits visibly posted. Corrective action: I posted exit sign in the door where kids can easily see it. Regulation: The licensee must ensure that the physical facilities are safe, clean, in good repair and free from hazards and clutter. The licensee must monitor the environment daily to identify and remove or repair any hazards that may cause injury to children. Exits and evacuation routes must be kept clear of obstructions. The educator was using a room for the childcare that had not previously been licensed. The educator will ensure to notify EEC of any changes in the childcare space prior to making them so that a visit can take place and this can be approved prior to being used for the childcare. Corrective action: New room is ready for a visit to licensed the new space that will be use for nap, transition from welcoming and putting children things away.
